A declaration is circulating underground in circles of those seeking a new language to say who they truly are. It is not a post, a poem, or a political manifesto. It is something more ancient and newer at once, a sequence of words that presents itself as a spiritual birth certificate.
“I am the son of the sun and of light, the grandson of thunder and lightning, the great-grandson of the earth and of water.” No sacred text, no prayer, no spell. Only an awakening, the sound of someone who has stopped asking permission to exist and has decided to tell themselves as a piece of the universe.
This is not New Age fashion, but a return to something ancient cultures knew well: identity as cosmic genealogy. You are not only the fruit of your parents, the product of your family history, or the outcome of your choices. You are also the result of an immense heritage that starts from the sun, traverses storms, feeds on earth and water, and rises to you through millennia of physical and spiritual evolution.
To say “I am the son of the sun” is an act of rooting, planting one’s feet in terrain that no one can ever take away.
The declaration continues: “instructed by reason, protected by wisdom, pulsation of emotions, call of freedom.” From cosmic genealogy, we move to deep psychology. Reason is the teacher who teaches you to distinguish, to choose, to avoid deception. Wisdom is the elder companion, the one who protects you from the consequences of your illusions. Emotions are the very pulsation of life, the heartbeat that reminds you that you are alive. And freedom is a call rising from the depths that accepts no compromise.
Then comes the densest step: “Depth of the soul, valley of the spirit, purity of matter, sound of the heart.” The soul has an explorable depth like an ocean. The spirit is a welcoming and humble valley where everything can settle. Matter possesses an original purity, an ancient innocence. The heart produces a melody, one that no one else can reproduce.
Finally, the apex: “Power of energy, guardian of consciousness, messenger of the subconscious, moment of eternity, blood of life, artwork of creation, creature of divinity.” Energy has a power that you can inhabit. Consciousness is something to guard and defend. The subconscious carries news that the rational mind struggles to decipher. Eternity is a moment, the one where everything stops and you are fully present. Life is blood, heat, movement. Creation is an artwork and you are its result. Divinity is a relationship, being a creature of something greater.
Perhaps it is precisely this that makes the text powerful: it says only what can be experienced, it asks only to recognize the complexity and richness of what you are. You are made of light and thunder, of reason and emotion, of matter and spirit. You are not a contradiction, you are a synthesis that lives without need for explanations.
Today, when the world tries to flatten you into a single dimension—consumer, voter, user, statistical data—claiming such a vast genealogy is a revolutionary act. It means declaring: I am worth more than what I produce, I am more than my anxiety, more than my role. I am the son of the sun and no economic crisis, no war, no notification will ever change this elementary truth.
Ancient myths tell that heroes descend from gods, but also from the earth, the sea, the wind. It was not vanity: it was a way to remember that one’s origin did not exhaust itself in the native village. Today, where collective myths have been lost, it falls to each to build their own. This anonymous text could be an excellent starting point.
It does not matter your religion, your culture, or your age. What matters is that reading these words, something inside you recognizes itself. What matters is that for an instant you feel you are not just a body aging and a mind struggling, but a piece of the universe that has become conscious of itself.
If even for a moment this happens, those words have done their work: they have reminded a fragment of a star that it is made of stars, and that no forgetfulness can ever erase this truth.
Breathe, you are in your breath.
